What's Your Footprint
Youth Exchange

Thirty young people from all over Europe lived in Yamochori for a week, doing activities to review their environmental footprint.
During the first two days, we did activities to become a team and get to know each other. Through a game, we got to know the field and the village, while at the same time discovering beautiful places for swimming and relaxing. In addition, we measured our environmental footprint based on our daily habits and reflected on what impact this has on the planet. We visited the distillery in the village of Spartias. After learning how tsipouro is produced, we set up a small festival with the locals.
We made our own natural soaps, learned about the principles of permaculture and how they can help for a more sustainable lifestyle, created a new hot compost, built benches from pallets and generally beautified the space with colors.
