🎉From August 21 to 29, 40 participants from Spain, Portugal, Croatia, the Czech Republic and Romania actively participated in the transnational youth exchange program, organizing open workshops and interesting activities for the local community.

During the first day, the participants shared flavors, dances and songs from their countries.

🌳The next day, dance therapy, papermaking, soap and cream making workshops, dry stone workshop, mindfulness and stargazing activities were held in Yamochori.

The weather was not on our side, resulting in the postponement of many workshops that had been scheduled to take place in Kallithea. Nevertheless, the concert was held with great success, preceded by a dance performance by the Portuguese group.

🌳On the last day, in collaboration with LEMATH, we hiked to Thetiko, the river cave-gorge, located in a stream west of the village of Drymonas in Aitoloakarnania. It is a natural wonder sculpted by divine hand, according to popular beliefs.

The route we followed was 2.8 kilometers by car (dirt road) and 2.3 km of downhill and uphill path on the way back.

Along the way, the vegetation was lush with native plane trees, cedars, hollies, fieldfares, honeysuckle, and arias, and they accompanied us on our journey.

It should be emphasized that the area is now easily accessible, thanks to the intervention of our volunteers, LEMATH, and residents of Drymonas. Specifically, an iron ladder was placed on the last part of the route and additional support was reinforced with steel wires with absolute respect for this special environment and in compliance with international canyoning and via ferrata safety rules.
