Nefeli

Nefeli, joined Yamochori as a long-term volunteer, where she quickly became an integral part of the community. Throughout her stay, she actively supported the daily operations of the project, playing a key role in the community kitchen and shared living spaces, helping to create a warm, inclusive, and collaborative environment.

Beyond her everyday contributions, Nefeli took initiative in designing and implementing two yoga retreats, which were open and accessible to members of the local community. These retreats provided a space for relaxation, wellbeing, and connection, bringing together people from different backgrounds and strengthening the bond between the project and the local area.

Overall, Nefeli’s presence had a meaningful impact on both the internal community and the surrounding area, combining practical support, creativity, and a strong sense of care and initiative

Fairy tale based in local Myths

Her personal project reflected both creativity and a deep connection to place. She developed and wrote a fairy tale inspired by local myths and oral traditions, particularly stories about ghosts and mystical creatures said to inhabit the nearby river. Through this work, she not only explored local folklore but also contributed to preserving and reimagining cultural heritage in a contemporary and engaging way.
