Storm
Storm, from Lithuania, participated in an ESC volunteering program at YamoChori together with Gabija for a duration of two months. During this period, Storm was actively involved in the construction of the house pergola, the installation of the natural floor in the stone house, and the school garden project.
Through these activities, Storm developed practical skills in natural and low-impact construction, including the use of hand tools, basic construction techniques, and teamwork on a building site. By participating in the school garden project, Storm gained hands-on experience in permaculture-based gardening, soil preparation, planting, and maintaining a shared learning space for children.
Overall, Storm strengthened skills in collaboration, problem-solving, and adaptability, while also deepening understanding of sustainability, community-based initiatives, and rural life.

Extension of the stone house roof and natural floor
As part of his personal project, Storm, in collaboration with Alex, worked on extending the roof of the stone house and creating a natural floor made from soil and stones. This project required planning, material selection, and hands-on implementation, allowing Storm to deepen his understanding of traditional and natural building techniques. Through this process, he enhanced practical skills related to structural extensions, floor preparation, and the use of local, natural materials, while also strengthening cooperation, initiative, and responsibility within a team-based working environment.
