Katia
Katia is from the Czech Republic and volunteered at YamoChori for two months, where she became an active and valued member of the community. She contributed to gardening activities and played an important role in the construction of the stone house, especially by helping significantly with building the roof. In addition, she supported the local community by helping with olive harvesting, strengthening the connection between YamoChori and the surrounding area. Through her dedication, willingness to learn, and collaborative spirit, Katia contributed in both practical and meaningful ways, and her presence greatly enriched the project and the people around it.
Help in the Stone house roof
Katia’s personal project at YamoChori was to help in building the roof of the stone house. Through this experience, she learned practical construction skills, teamwork, and the importance of careful planning and coordination. By contributing to this key part of the building process, she gained hands-on experience in traditional and sustainable construction technique
